Am I listening to Reiko Nakatsukasa playing "Tantris The Clown" (by Szymanowski)...
Splendid passionate playing capturing beautifully the temperamental moods of this evocative creature. Indeed Ms.Nakatsukasa is admirable in her portrayal of character and color in music. To help her, of course, she not only has a vivid imagination but also great technical command. In addition to this, Ms. Nakatsukasa is no boring conservative when it comes to repertoire-unlike most pianists, she is most adventurous and creative in her recital programs, showing in particular a great love and understanding of contemporary music.

Ronan Magill (composer, pianist) comments given for the article in magazine Chopin, Japan May 2003.
